After collecting the ata vines from the forest and allowing them to dry under the sun they are then woven into shape; a process that could take one skilled artisan a month to make just one bag. The product is then dried and smoked in ovens, which give the baskets their distinctive colour and patina. The material is durable, long lasting and has a surprisingly large holding capacity - perfect for a day at the beach or a picnic at the park.
